.dmi files are no longer required for player avatars. The same rules still apply but you can now upload normal image files and they will be converted to icons and resized as avatars automatically. Note that this means they may become distorted in the process if they're not square. Animations will be stripped down to their 1st frame of animation as well.
The Emperor's Key is now implemented as an item (Beta Testing). Comes with 3 Powers. Zexal Morph, Shining Draw, and Shining Evolution. Shining Draw (Drag key to deck) allows you to draw cards of your choice from a pre-set list that are created new, not from your deck. Requires your LP to be lower than your opponent's
Shining Evolution (Dragon key to card in hand) allows you to change a card in your hand with any other card in the game as long as the new card meets required conditions. Cards must be the same card type (Monster/Spell/Trap). Pendulums cannot become Non-Pendulums and vice versa. Monsters must be the same level. Spells/Traps must be the same type (Normal/Quick-Play/etc). Requires your LP be less than half your opponent's LP. Can only be used in ZEXAL2 or ZEXAL3
Zexal Morph (Drag key to yourself during duel) Allows you to transform in to ZEXAL/ZEXAL2/ZEXAL3. These transformations only last until the end of your current duel. They increase the power of your other abilities as well as unlock a few extra anime card effects. The success rate of Shining Draw is increased by the forms as well as the pool of cards you can choose from. Shining Evolution is unlocked at ZEXAL2 and at ZEXAL3 it loses most of its restrictions on cards, only keeping that they must be the same card type (Monster/Spell/Trap). Zexal Morph requires you meet hidden conditions during a duel, each form is more difficult than the last and you can only transform 1 time, (if you turn in to ZEXAL1 during the duel, you cannot later turn in to ZEXAL3) so make sure you save the ability until you're in a pinch.
The Zexal Morph ability supports icon state changing. The Yuma icon has built-in states for it but if you wish, you can use your custom icons for it as well. It works like the Battle and Vrains icon states. Make an icon state with your current icon's name and add "ZEXAL1_" "ZEXAL2_" or "ZEXAL3_" to it.

Bugs Fixed bug with new Set Filter Code causing cards to appear in unintended sets. Fixed bug where your saved screen size would not be used when reconnecting. Fixed bug that would prevent a player from editing ther attack names and chants when they had 100 total set.

Players can now customize Effect Names for their monsters. Done the same was as Attack Name and Summon Chant customization. The map blocking causes by the Seal of Orichalcos and Shadow Duels has been removed. The visual effects are still there but will no longer prevent people from moving through them. The Seal of Orichalcos is now compatible with Tag/FFA duels
Features Several Font Colors which were harder to see in dark mode have been updated to appear brighter in dark mode. A 1v2 and 3P duel option has been added. Please report any errors with it. Note that this format may be subject in the near future.
