This is a guide for people who aren't familiar with dreammaker and how it functions but still want to use a custom profile picture.
For people who are not aware, the game currently requires you to use a 96x96 pixel sized dmi file as your profile picture. There are reasons for this but it's almost entirely so it can be manipulated in byond for other features in the game.
This does mean that its a bit more complicated to make a picture than just uploading an image however. So here's a visual guide on how to do what you need to do.
1. Press F3 to open the Game Options Menu. Click on the "Profile" button.
2. Click on the "*.dmi" button.
3. The game will create a new file for you. Save the file somewhere and remember where you put it.
4. Locate the file you just created on your computer and open it. (Double-Click on it)
5. You'll now have a window open that looks like this. Leave it open for now and move on.
6. Find an image you like online. Preferably a square image. Right-Click on the image and copy it.
7. Go back into the window you had open in step 5 and right-click in the blank space anywhere you want and click "Paste"
8. You'll get a lot of icons appearing in the window now.
The bigger the picture you selected, the more there will be.
Note that if your image is smaller than 96x96 this wont happen and you'll just get a single image.
9. Right-Click on every image except the one that looks like your full picture.
It should be the first image after the black/white square.
10. When you're done, your window should only contain the picture you wanted like this...
11. Go to File > Save and save your icon.
12. Go back to the game and to the Profile Menu. Click on the "Upload" button this time.
13. Make sure your icon follows the rules
14. Locate your icon file again in the next window and double-click on it.
15. If you did everything correctly. Your Profile pic should update.
Note that the window on this screen doesnt always update when the server is lagging. Try to talk in chat and see to be sure.
If everything is showing correctly then you're all set. Just make sure you save when you're done.
